This plant with nice small pink flowers was in the
middle of the path.
Thanks to its leaves and enlarged parts on the tails, I
presumed it was a wild pink. Indeed it is Deptford Pink or Grass Pink (Dianthus armeria).
The flower is very small but looking closely very beautiful
with its dark pink and white spots.
The name of the genus Dianthus is from the Greek words
Διός Dios ("of Zeus") and ἀνθός anthos ("flower"),
and was cited by the Greek philosopher Theophrastus, (371-288 BC), also known as the “father of botany”.
