The wild strawberries are now quite ready for an
excellent coulis (to be preferred against being consumed fresh to avoid any
risk of echinococcosis transmitted by foxes).
The Fragaria vesca (or small strawberry in Latin), commonly called wild
strawberry, is a perennial herbaceous plant in the rose family that grows naturally throughout
much of the Northern
Hemisphere,
and that produces edible fruits strongly
flavored.
With a botanical point of view, the fruit is in fact an accessory fruit.
